Meeting the Divine Within
A Silent Retreat in Portugal
August 18 - August 24, 2024
with Hector Marcel & Rachel Webb
The ancient philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism is built on the idea that we can evolve beyond our imagination using meditation. This practice, called FUTURE REFUGE, is the process of identifying characteristics and situations we'd like to occur and relating with them over and over in meditation until we train our mind to create these experiences.
For those who have tried the FUTURE REFUGE meditation with us at Three Jewels, this retreat is a deep dive into aspects of that practice, with the supportive addition of asana – including Lady Niguma’s ancient yoga sequence.
This retreat is appropriate for beginners, but will also provide depth and richness to students who have studied at Three Jewels or elsewhere.

Wild View Retreat Center:
Wild View Retreat has arisen from the ruins of an abandoned mountain village of Corgas Bravas in the foothills of the Algarve in Portugal, transforming an iconic setting into a bespoke wellness retreat.
Wild View Retreat is defined by its spectacular uninterrupted 360° views of the Serra do Caldeirão mountains, a land protected for its natural beauty and famous Portuguese cortiça (cork) trees. There are no cars, no roads, no buildings, no neighbors. Nothing but wilderness and nature. Nothing to hear but the birds and the wind. Nothing to do but restore and relax the body, mind and soul.
Silence:
The majority of the week will be in silence to allow the mind to settle and go deeper into meditation.
About Chakra Yoga:
Chakra Yoga is a series of poses, breathwork and meditations that work directly with the subtle energy in the body to change the mental state. It is a thousand year old practice and is credited to the first recorded female yogi in history, Lady Niguma. The text for this practice was discovered in Russia and translated for the first time to English in the 1990’s and adapted to an asana practice that is accessible to beginners and advanced yogis alike.
