Three Jewels Outreach Center is a 501c3 non-profit that was started in 1996 by the main students of the First American Geshe in the Gelugpa lineage Buddhist tradition.
We began as a simple bookstore where people would gather to hear Buddhist dharma and drink tea. What began as a bookstore, has grown into a large community space with a complete meditation and yoga program based in authentic Tibetan Buddhism, and a free course curriculum training in the major texts of Buddhism, by The Asian Classics Institute.
We are not just a yoga studio, we are a space where people gather and train and support one another on the quest to achieve Enlightenment. And yes, we really believe in that stuff.
You’ll notice that many of our staff are volunteer staff. They contribute their time in the practice of karma yoga which is a spiritual practice to develop unconditional love. Ask them about it!
